Winning a design award is not simply about entering a remarkable project. It is about presenting your work through a credible evaluation process where projects are reviewed, shortlisted and assessed across multiple stages. The iDAC Infinity Awards are India’s most prestigious celebration of excellence in architecture and design, created as project-based recognition for architects, interior designers, engineers and service consultants.
What Do Juries Actually Look For?
The iDAC Infinity Awards follow a transparent three-stage evaluation process. Every entry moves through a structured assessment designed to ensure that recognition is earned through an unbiased and credible evaluation. This makes the awards a strong platform for professionals looking for the best architecture and design awards in India.
Stage 1: Online Shortlisting
The first stage begins with jury members reviewing submissions online. Entries are shortlisted for the next round through a blind scoring process. The process is designed to identify merited entries before they move forward to the next stage.
For anyone looking to win a design award, this makes the project submission the starting point of the journey.
Stage 2: City Qualifier Presentations
Shortlisted entries move to live, in-person presentations at the respective city expo. Regional jurors evaluate these presentations, with the top scorers qualifying for the Grand Finale
This stage takes the evaluation beyond online shortlisting and brings shortlisted projects before regional jurors in person.
Stage 3: National Grand Finale
The journey culminates at the National Grand Finale in Mumbai, where city winners compete at the national stage. An esteemed panel judges the finalists to crown the national champion.
This three-stage structure gives the iDAC Infinity Awards their distinctive evaluation framework — from online shortlisting to city-level presentations and finally, national recognition.
Choose the Right Recognition for Your Project
The iDAC Infinity Awards feature categories across architecture, interior design and special categories. Architecture categories cover commercial, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, institutional, public and civic architecture, landscape architecture, restoration and adaptive reuse, and urban planning and development. Interior design categories include healthcare, educational, bars and restaurants, hotels, retail, workplace and residential interiors. Special categories include green and sustainable design, innovative lighting, innovative facade design, building performance and systems, and structural design.
For professionals seeking project-based recognition for architects or project-based recognition for interior designers, choosing the relevant category provides a defined platform to present their work.
Why iDAC Infinity Awards?
The iDAC Infinity Awards extend recognition beyond the award itself. National winners receive a showcase at future iDAC events and exhibitions, an exclusive invitation to iDAC forums, a prestigious trophy, a 365-day showcase on the iDAC website and media visibility through social media, partner networks and industry publications.
If your project represents excellence in architecture or design, the iDAC Infinity Awards provide a structured platform to put your work forward, progress through a transparent evaluation process and compete for national recognition.
